Introduction to TV drama: blog tasks

 1) How does this His Dark Materials trailer meet the conventions of a TV drama series?

Multiple scenes, multiple characters with their own backstory, there is a dilemma, theyre hinting that there is a villain and the characters have their own distinct look that makes them appear either from another world or that they are dark and evil.


2) What genre (or genres) are suggested by this His Dark Materials trailer?

Action, thriller, drama, science fiction.

3) What kind of characters and narratives are introduced in this trailer?

a possible protagonist, a helper, a villain, There might be a donor who helps the hero on their way i cant really tell, there are three women in one scene that may be evil.  i see how there is also a cult-like scene with a possible villain, perhaps this is a narrative where religion may be bad here? another narrative is that not everyone has good intentions.

4) What settings appear in the trailer?

old buildings, modern city, overgrown amazon forest, a dark omonous church-like room, islands, ocean, hallway, prison?, lake or swamp..

5) Who do you think the target audience for His Dark Materials is? Give reasons for your answer.

I think the target audience for this series are for 16-30 year olds, it is obviously not for kids, i believe this because old people wouldnt probably watch this type of film, i feel like this because 16-30 year olds is still a new generation or the generation to be exposed to new technology, its shorter than a film and old people would watch films instead.
