Preliminary exercise learner response
1) Type up your teacher's feedback in full. If you've received your feedback via email, you can simply cut and paste it from the email into your blog.
WWW:
You have displayed some excellent editing and technical skills throughout this preliminary exercise. The song choice for this preliminary makes sense based and links to the brief.
Next steps:
I know that you are planning to refilm this, but I am not quite sure it fits the conventions of music video as it feels more like a horror/thriller trailer. Consider how your music video will present an improvement to the quality of life in their community. Your statement of intent reflects this well but I do not feel your production demonstrates this enough
2) Using a combination of your own reflection on the preliminary exercise and the feedback you were given, write two WWW bullet points (What Went Well) and two Next Step bullet points for your preliminary exercise.
I had enjoyed filming the videos and had a basic idea of what I wanted to do.
I particularly did well in recording as I thought it looked really professional and something I would see in a thriller.
next time, I will try avoid making a thriller and stick to the point rather than doing my own fling on something.
I want to make a story board of how I want the video to look so I can stick with the story as well as help improve timetables when me and my friends can meet.
3) What have you learned from the preliminary exercise that will help you in the actual coursework project? List three things you have learned or will do differently as a result of this exercise. You may want to comment on organisation, actors, filming, editing or something else entirely but be specific.
I had learned that I should be careful with how I record videos, I should try keep a main message throughout the video rather than adding plot twists or whatever.
I learned that I can have costumes in the videos, for my next video I will add a variety of costume changes to send a message.
I had learned that organisation is incredibly important, not everyone will be free when I am and will need to make plans for recording ahead of time.
