WWW: This is an excellent start to GCSE Media – well done! I really like your honesty in your opening questions (screen time!) and your fruit bowl is stunning. This shows you are developing the technical skills that will hopefully result in excellent coursework in Year 11. Keep up the good work!

EBI: The main thing to work on is the depth and detail of your written work on the blog – for example such as the Mise-en-scene and camerawork blog tasks. It is fantastic that you are ahead compared to the others in the class, but that extra bit of detail will give you that edge and potentially higher grade.

LR: Create a new blogpost on your Media blog called ‘Blog feedback and Learner Response’. Copy and paste this WWW/EBI feedback into your blogpost then complete the LR tasks/questions below.

Reflect on your first month of Media. What do you feel is your strongest piece of work so far? What is your weakest? What specific skills or knowledge do you need to develop over the rest of the course?

I feel like my strongest piece of work was the mise-en-scene because I found it very similar to a What How Why paragraph and wanted to finish as fast as I could.

My weakest however, was the camerawork blog. I really struggled with finding scenes and how to describe what it was doing to the reader. At some point I even thought I was making half of it up.

I need to build on my memory skills and remember key words and basic media camerawork words so I don't need to worry about it later.
