Grade 8/9 extension tasks

If you want a top grade in Media, you should also complete the grade 8/9 extension tasks once you've completed the basic eight questions above. Try the following:

1) Read this Guardian report on Scarlett Johansson suing Disney over the release strategy for Black Widow. Do you agree she is right to be angry with the multiplatform release strategy?

I somewhat agree, if her contract is breached and she is not earni9ng more from the streaming, then she should be paid the money that the streaming earns because although flexibility is good, she's not being payed from the movie being streamed (as the movie flopped and she's not being payed enough as expected and there may be more people watching the streamed version, she mentions she only gets payed by the box office.)

2) Read this feature on how Black Widow shot 22 minutes of IMAX footage to give viewers an incredible widescreen experience in IMAX cinemas. Why is IMAX an important part of marketing a blockbuster movie?

IMAX makes the movie appear much more better quality. makes the audience enjoy the high quality footage. if the movie didn't appear high quality, it can break the immersion and overall enjoyment of the movie. (if youd prefer to watch a high quality video over a lower quality one.)

3) Look at this Guardian website page allowing Marvel fans to discuss Black Widow. What interesting opinions do you notice in the comments?

"The prequel is set after the events of 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, and acts as a stand-alone adventure for Scarlett Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff. This is probably a good thing, as Black Widow has a narrow window of opportunity for adventures left before she suffers a tragic demise in the events of Avengers."

kind of is as it builds on the story and builds some kind of relationship with the audience before she dies apparently.

Finally, you might want to read this feature on whether there are too many Marvel sequels and spin-offs. Do you agree that there are too many Marvel films?

Yes, absolutely, more than 23 films?  That's very Excessive, but it can also be a good thing as it does build plot. its a big story after all. but people have been noticing the amount of movies and it just seems like marvel is just pumping out content for money. audiences are getting tired of it and even mentions how they felt fatigued from all the movies. (I remember reading something about it on a website, I don't know from where.)
